Management

Semaphore Capital Management was founded by Courtney Malcarney in 2004 in Zug, Switzerland.  Mr. Malcarney has over 16 years experience trading a broad range of financial instruments.  He began his financial career in 1990 on the currency floor of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange trading forex options for Timber Hill Inc.  In 1992, Mr. Malcarney moved with Timber Hill to Frankfurt, Germany to trade equity options on the fledgling Deutsche Terminboerse (DTB).  In 1994, he moved to Zug, Switzerland to open the offices of Timber Hill Europe and trade on the Swiss Options and Financial Futures Exchange (SOFFEX).  A job change came in 1996 when Mr. Malcarney left Timber Hill to trade for DTS Derivative Trading System AG.  At DTS, he held the positions of Senior Trader, Risk Manager and most recently, Head of Trading.  Mr. Malcarney has been a member in good standing at the PHLX (Philadelphia), OMLX (London) and virt-x (London) exchanges as well as a licensed Eurex (Frankfurt) trader.
 

Mr. Malcarney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Wheeling Jesuit University, West Virginia, USA.
